Effective Date: March 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Connovo platform (“Service”), operated by Connovo, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Connovo is an AI-powered hiring platform designed for K-12 school districts. The Service includes AI-assisted screening interviews, applicant profile management, collaborative evaluation tools, and analytics dashboards. The AI interview component uses artificial intelligence to conduct structured screening interviews and generate advisory evaluations.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared or transferred.
4. AI Interview Disclosure
Connovo uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to conduct initial screening interviews. By participating in an AI interview, you acknowledge that:
- Your responses are recorded, transcribed, and analyzed by AI systems.
- AI-generated scores and evaluations are advisory only and do not constitute final hiring decisions.
- All hiring decisions are made by human administrators within the school district.
- You may request a human-conducted alternative interview by contacting the hiring district directly.
- AI evaluations may be reviewed by authorized district personnel as part of the hiring process.
5. Equal Opportunity Commitment
Connovo is committed to equal employment opportunity. The platform is designed to evaluate candidates based on job-relevant qualifications and competencies. We actively monitor our AI systems for adverse impact using the four-fifths rule and other statistical methods. See our EEO Statement for details.
6. Data Collection & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including interview transcripts and evaluation data.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Impersonate another person or entity during the interview or application process.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or interfere with the AI interview system.
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service.
- Discriminate against applicants based on any legally protected characteristic.
8. District Responsibilities
School districts using Connovo agree to:
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Use AI evaluations as one factor among many in hiring decisions, not as the sole basis.
- Maintain appropriate human oversight of the AI-assisted hiring process.
- Provide reasonable accommodations to candidates who request alternatives to AI interviews.
- Comply with EEOC guidelines and monitor hiring outcomes for adverse impact.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its AI models, scoring rubrics, interface design, and documentation, is owned by Connovo, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit (resumes, interview responses, etc.) but grant us a limited license to process it for providing the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Connovo is not liable for hiring decisions made by school districts. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
